For the past 20 years, the Quebec Investor Program has been the most well-liked business immigration scheme in Canada. The program was closed while it was being revised, but it will now accept applications without a cap. However, there have been some adjustments made to the program.

It will still be an immigration program for passive investors. It will not be necessary for applicants to start a company in Canada or get involved in the day-to-day operations.

The primary applicant must provide evidence of the following:

A lawful accumulation of at least $2,000,000 in net worth.

In the five years before applying, you must have at least two years of managerial experience.

After being accepted, the applicant will be required to contribute the following sum of money:

Investment of CAD $1,000,000 over a five-year period through a licensed financial intermediary, backed by the Government of Quebec (financing is available)

A contribution of CAD $200,000 was made to the Government of Quebec which is not refundable.

Then, a three-year temporary stay in Canada will be granted to the principal applicants and their families. The family will be able to work and attend school in Quebec with this status. The following must be proven within the first two years of moving to Quebec:

The primary applicant must show that he scored a Level 7 out of twelve on the Oral French exam.

The primary applicant and spouse must provide proof that they have lived in Quebec for at least six months.
